Award winning, Brooklyn born, Joan Stevens, studied fine arts at St. John’s University and FIT. Originally specializing in illustration, her work evolved into oil paintings and pastels. She is known for capturing her subjects in their natural environments showcasing soft and fluid strokes that present a placid scene from her floral pieces to her landscapes. Joan has been teaching at the Art Students League of Long Island for a decade and her work is collected in private collections globally.
