Introduction to weaving workshop is a full day class that is designed to teach the basics of weaving on a rigid heddle loom. Attendees will learn the parts of the loom, weaving terms and techniques, learning to warp the loom and will weave a simple scarf.

The class is taught on an Ashford 16" Rigid Heddle Loom, which is yours to keep. The loom size and options can be upgraded, if desired. Please call the studio for options and price.

All of our introductory classes are scheduled at the convenience of the attendee and the instructor, and they can be weekdays or weekends. If purchased online, a member of the fiber studio will reach out to you to schedule a mutually convenient time. They are one on one or can be scheduled with a friend. We do not do group classes for new skills as individuals find success at different rate, it’s our goal that everyone leaves our classes with a sense of accomplishment. Weather permitting we will take a break and go on a walk about the farm to say hello to the animals. Coffee, tea, water and snacks are provided. If you are taking a full day class, please plan to bring a lunch.
