At the age of seven, in his native El Salvador, he used to grow corn, squash, and beans. For over fifty years he has worked from dawn to dusk. He remembers the sacrifice he had to make to get to the United States in search of his dreams. To get here, Don Julian had to cross three borders: Guatemala, México, and the United States. He wonders if crossing hills, mountains, and deserts was worth it. With all his heart, he wishes to reunite his family someday.
