Do you struggle with colour theory? Painting the shadows is a three week focus on understanding complementary colours in post impressionistic painting. We will work from a range of subject matter, including still life, in the spirit of Gauguin and Vincent Van Gogh.  Understanding colour combinations and why they work is often a mystery, so we will be investigating the colour theory behind these artworks. You will learn to enhance the contrasts in your palette, while exploring acrylic painting techniques

The course runs for three weeks 25th, 1st and 8th April.
