Wounded Healers, winner of seven national Kennedy Center College Theater Festival awards! This Spoken Word Play was written, composed, and directed by Dr. Timothy Berry. Related to the oral tradition of African/Black Djalis, Wounded Healers is a spoken-word performance play that focuses on five movements/historical periods. They function as a chronology and re-membrance of Black bodies grappling with and overcoming racialized trauma in America. There is a post-performance discussion with the cast and director.
