For our older children, we are excited about our Whipbird Wildling Afterschool program inviting talented crafters from around the valley to help our multi-age children’s village grow in knowledge and skill.

Mentoring us in:

· Natural building

· Claymaking and firing

· Fleece and fabric from plant&animal

· Papermaking

· Salves and balms

· Bush skills

For children aged 4-12 developing self-awareness, self-confidence & team collaboration.

Developing skills in:

How to assess risk assess and manage safety in a natural environment.

How to use hand tools such as hammers, hand drills and whittling knives

How to tie knots to build bush shelters

Identifying plants and animals

Noticing the cycles of the seasons

Environment and water conservation

Please bring:

Piece of fruit for afternoon tea

Full water bottle

Closed in shoes (gumboots or shoes that can get wet and muddy).

Sunhat

Swimmers, rashie, towel

Wet gear - rain jacket, overalls and gumboots

Spare change (or two) of clothes
