Friends! Welcome to Bathers Membership (v1)! Bathers Library is a free/lo-cost art school, event space, residency and bookstore opening in downtown Oakland (ideally soon)!

In addition to book sales, memberships will be the way this space is going to become sustainable, and will allow us to to keep programming free/cheap and pay instructors/speakers/guests/facilitators, not to mention rent, buying books for the library and construction costs.

The idea is in the future, there will be different levels of membership, which will have different "perks" (store/event/class discounts for instance) as well as levels of access to the library (certain hours for certain levels, lets say). I am still working on figuring out the space's capacity (and my own capacity!) so I don't want to set all that in stone just yet. I'm hoping to get the space going a bit and then settle on a membership structure (with your input!) hopefull by early 2025.

I created this (v.1) membership with three levels as a way for friends/community members to support the space as I finish building and getting it set up! Right now there are no particular perks to being a member (other than my deepest eternal gratitude).
