The Foundation for the Preservation of Government House of Maryland (FPGH MD) is delighted to share the 2024 installment of our cherished holiday ornament, which beautifully depicts the historic Government House—a beacon of Maryland's rich heritage and public engagement. 

Since 1870, Government House has served as the official residence of Maryland's governors and their families. More than that, it has evolved into 'The People's House,' where all Marylanders are welcomed and embraced. Under the leadership of the 63rd Governor of Maryland, Wes Moore, and First Lady Dawn Moore, this historic home hosts a diverse range of public programs and events, making it a true reflection of our shared history and communal spirit. This year's ornament celebrates the warmth, elegance, and inclusivity this house embodies. 

Throughout the year, Government House's doors swing open, welcoming artists, innovators, military families, economic advocates, and children for programs that reflect our community's diverse needs and aspirations. As we adorn our homes with this beautiful ornament, let it remind us of our collective journey and the festive spirit that unites us.
