Whether you plan to give birth in a hospital, at a birth center, or at home, this class aims to provide you with the information needed to make the most informed choices. We cover kinds of providers and birth settings, prenatal preparation, anatomy and physiology of birth, a variety of coping techniques, making a birth plan, early newborn care, and breastfeeding basics. Most coping techniques focus on non pharmaceutical approaches. Helpful for first time parents as well as parents looking to take more charge in their choices with a subsequent experience. This series is scheduled for every Monday night of March starting at 5:30PM. In person and online options available. (In person provides hands-on practice with coping techniques!) In-person is held in Torrington, CT. Class designed and taught by Katie Breakell, CNM. $279 per couple. Childbirth education is FSA/HSA eligible!
