Craniosacral Therapy - Level 2: Advanced Practice & Certification (9/5, 9/6, 9/7 2025)

$675.00

Prerequisites: Completion of Craniosacral Therapy - Level 1: Foundations from New England Bodywork & Wellness Academy is required before attending this advanced program. This class is for the LMT and other licensed professionals.

This 3-day advanced training is designed for bodyworkers who have completed the Craniosacral Therapy - Level 1: Foundations program and are ready to deepen their practice. Over the course of three intensive days, you will build on your foundational knowledge, learning advanced techniques and how to apply Craniosacral Therapy (CST) to a variety of specialized populations and conditions.

Through a combination of lectures, demonstrations, and extensive hands-on practice, you’ll refine your palpation skills, enhance your ability to assess and treat dysfunctions, and gain the confidence to address more complex cases in your practice.

Key Areas of Focus:

1 . Advanced Craniosacral Techniques

Expand your therapeutic toolkit with techniques that target deeper cranial structures and fascial systems, allowing for more profound releases in the body. You will learn how to address chronic tension patterns, severe trauma, and conditions that impact the central nervous system.

2 . Working with Specialized Populations

Explore how to adapt your approach to support specific groups:

  • Pregnancy and Newborn Care: Learn gentle, safe techniques to use with pregnant clients and newborns, focusing on balancing the craniosacral system for optimal prenatal and postnatal health.
  • Pediatric CST: Develop skills for working with infants and children, addressing common issues like colic, developmental delays, and birth trauma.
  • Athletes and Injury Recovery: Help athletes recover from injuries, improve their physical performance, and address issues like chronic pain, joint dysfunction, and tension from overuse.
  • Trauma and Emotional Release: Understand how to support clients who are processing physical and emotional trauma, using CST to release stored tension and promote healing.

3 . Deeper Understanding of the Cranial Anatomy

  • Gain a more advanced understanding of the cranial structures, including:
  • In-depth exploration of the intra-cranial membranes, ventricles, and cerebrospinal fluid pathways.
  • Techniques to release restrictions in the sphenoid, temporal bones, and other key cranial structures that impact overall health.

4 . Craniosacral Therapy and Nervous System Regulation

Learn how to facilitate balance within the autonomic nervous system, promoting relaxation, reducing stress, and supporting clients with conditions like PTSD, anxiety, and chronic pain syndromes.

5 . Integrating CST with Other Modalities

Discover how to integrate CST with your existing bodywork practice, blending it with other techniques like massage, energy work, or movement therapies to enhance your client outcomes.

6 . Professionalism and Client Communication

Learn effective communication strategies when working with clients on sensitive issues related to trauma, chronic pain, or developmental conditions. This section will cover:

  • Setting appropriate boundaries.
  • Building trust in the therapeutic relationship.
  • Completing SOAP notes
  • Understanding client concerns and explaining how CST can address their needs.

7 . Business and Marketing Strategies

Gain insights into successfully marketing your Craniosacral Therapy practice, including:

  • How to educate your clients and community about the benefits of CST.
  • Strategies for expanding your practice by incorporating CST into your massage therapy or holistic health offerings.
  • Understanding pricing, positioning, and developing niche markets such as pediatrics, trauma recovery, or athlete care.

8 . Comprehensive Review, Case Studies, and Final Assessment

On the final day, we will review all advanced techniques and topics covered throughout the course. You will have the opportunity to apply what you’ve learned through real-world case studies, peer practice, and discussions.

To complete your certification, there will be a final practical and knowledge-based assessment. This assessment will consist of two parts:

  • Practical Assessment: You will demonstrate your ability to perform key craniosacral techniques in a supervised setting, showcasing your skills in palpation, assessment, and treatment application. Instructors will offer supportive feedback to help refine your practice.
  • Knowledge Test: You will complete a short written or oral test to evaluate your understanding of advanced concepts, anatomy, techniques, and their applications. This test is designed to reinforce your learning and ensure you are confident in both theory and practice.

The final assessment is not designed to intimidate but to empower you with the tools and understanding needed to confidently incorporate CST into your professional practice.

By the End of the Program, You Will:

  • Be Certified in Advanced Craniosacral Therapy, fully prepared to use your skills in professional practice with various populations.
  • Have a deep understanding of advanced craniosacral techniques and how to apply them effectively.
  • Be able to assess and treat a wide range of conditions, from prenatal care and pediatric development to trauma recovery and injury rehabilitation.
  • Feel confident in incorporating CST into your practice and growing your business with this specialized offering.
