We often find ourselves moving fastβpushing ourselves to do, achieve, or be more. As a result, we may not recognize when our bodies ask for rest. We also may not feel like we have permission to rest, especially when most of the messages around us are telling us we need to be productive all the time, in all areas of our lives, including physical activity. Learning to listen to our bodies is a key part of eating disorder recovery, as is giving ourselves permission to slow down.
Join former D1 athlete, Lo Segal, MS, RD, RYT, for a 6-week virtual gentle and restorative yoga class series emphasizing the power of slowing down and doing less. Through gentle breathwork, movement, and meditation, you'll learn to observe your busy mind and body with curiosity and compassion rather than judgement or competition.
This class series is for former competitive athletes, recreational athletes, active folks, or anyone who wishes to move their body with intention. No yoga experience is needed.
This class series will meet on Zoom on Mondays May 6 through June 17 (no class Memorial Day, May 27). Join the live class or follow along with the recordings. Only the teacher will be recorded, not the participants, and you are welcome to practice with your camera on or off.
These classes are taught from a trauma informed, eating disorder informed, and mental health informed perspective. All are welcome. No prior yoga experience required.
