Level 1: Foundations (2-Day Course)

Course Overview:

This 2-day Level 1: Foundations program is designed for bodyworkers who are looking to gain a thorough understanding of the Vodder Method of Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD). Over the course of two days, you will learn the foundational techniques of MLD, including how to assess the lymphatic system, apply gentle strokes to promote fluid drainage, and support detoxification and healing. This course is ideal for those who wish to add MLD to their practice for general wellness, injury recovery, and lymphatic health.

Through a combination of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice, you will build your foundational knowledge and gain the confidence to begin applying MLD in your bodywork practice.

Key Areas of Focus:

• Introduction to the Vodder Method & Lymphatic System
• Understand the anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system, including lymph nodes, vessels, and the thoracic duct.
• Explore the history of the Vodder Method and its application in modern bodywork.
• Principles and Techniques of Manual Lymphatic Drainage
• Learn the fundamental principles of MLD, emphasizing light touch and rhythmic movements.
• Practice core techniques such as stationary circles, pumping strokes, and gentle drainage of the body’s lymphatic pathways.
• Assessing the Lymphatic System
• Learn how to palpate the lymphatic system to identify areas of congestion or stagnation.
• Understand the importance of assessing the client’s specific needs and customizing the treatment accordingly.
• Indications and Contraindications
• Explore conditions that benefit from MLD such as edema, chronic inflammation, and post-surgical recovery.
• Learn when MLD may not be appropriate and how to identify contraindications.
• Hands-On Practice
• Engage in practical sessions to perfect your MLD techniques under the guidance of experienced instructors.
• Focus on addressing common problem areas, including the neck, face, arms, legs, and abdominal regions.
• Professional Practice & Client Education
• Learn best practices for incorporating MLD into your bodywork practice.
• Educate clients on the benefits of MLD and guide them on post-session care, including hydration and lifestyle recommendations.

Certification:

• Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion in Manual Lymphatic Drainage – Vodder Method, allowing you to apply these techniques to your practice.

REFUND POLICY:

For cancellations made up to 30 days before the event, you will receive a refund minus a $25 administrative fee.

Cancellations made between 14 and 29 days before the event will incur a $50 administrative fee deducted from the refund.

No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 14 days before the workshop begins. Additionally, no refunds will be provided for same-day cancellations or no-shows.
